how i approach my spirituality

"Do not believe anything
because it is said by an authority,
or if it is said to come from angels,
or from Gods,
or from an inspired source.

Believe it only if you have explored it
in your own heart
and mind and body
and found it to be true.

Work out your own path,
through diligence." — Gautama Buddha

  1. Such wonderful words of wisdom. The hard part isn't having the diligence to explore until you find your own path, it's knowing what to do when you look back and see others following your trail.

  2. indeed. it takes so much less energy to let others think for you... and then you realize you understand life no more than you did the day you came out of the womb.

personally I'm always taken aback when I realize some of my fellow humans actually hear me, let alone making sense of what I say, let ALONE agree

... Its instinct for me to assume I'm crazy

  3. Is it instinct? Or is it that what you have observed of 'other people' seems so drastically different from what you feel to be true for yourself... that over time "crazy" has become the only way you can describe it, so that those same 'other people' can hope to understand how you feel?

Because your views, actions and voice about your experiences don't seem crazy to me. Then again, maybe I see you from your own eyes, while 'other people' are too busy seeing themselves in you.

The world may never know. ;)
